A perfect cache to do during your lunch hour...
Located in Memorial Park in the Village Of Hamburg, this
cache
is a tiny capsule. It contains a logbook for you to sign. Make
sure
to bring your own fine-writing instrument.
Start your quest at the coordinates posted on the page.
You'll
be standing in front of a monument with an actual time capsule
in
it. To find the cache, you'll need to solve the following
puzzles:
Decimal part of the Latitude:
Step 1: Find the dates under "Erected To The Memory....."
Step 2; Add the value of the digits of both years.
Step 3: Add the value of the last four digits to the result of step
one, this gives you the last two digits of the decimal part of the
latitude.
Step 4: Subtract the first digit of the second year from the last
digit of the first year, this will give you the value of the FIRST
digit of the decimal part of the latitude
Decimal part of the longitude;
Step 1: Find the number surrounded by four stars on the building
the cannon is aimed at
Step 2: Find the plate on the nearby clock.
Step 3: Multiply the number of lines of text on the plate by the
sum of the last two digits of the second year on the statue from
part one.
Step 4: Add the number from Step 1 to the result of Step 3, this is
the decimal part of the longitude.
Go find the cache! Have fun, I've tried to make this one about
as tough as the original while putting my own twist on it. For
those of you who found the original cache, the new one is in a
different spot. Althgough the original was listed as a multi, it
was in fact a puzzle cache.
