Geocache Description:


You are about to become very familiar with an iconic piece of Tanunda architecture. This is a great place to have a picnic, eat a pie from the Apex bakery, a tipple from your samplings from one of the local wineries or just a place to meet friends before you head out.
A one stage multi. The given coordinates will position you on the grassed area on the Murray St side of the iconic Tanunda Rotunda. The physical cache is located at:

S 34° 30.ABC E 138° 57.DEF

A – Before you is a bench that has a commemorative plate of three mates who left this Earth together – Stuart, Mario and Andy. Add the digits in the year that they left us for A

B - This seat is fixed on a sea of red pavers that is in front of the rotunda. Count all of these red pavers. For this exercise, any part paver (ie it has been cut smaller than when it was originally made) is counted as a paver. You will get a 3 digit number. B is the first digit in this number.

C – Count the number of brick caps on the base of the edge of the rotunda. These are the top row of bricks that are laid radially outwards. You will have a three digit number. Add these three digits and minus nine from the result to give you C.

D – The total number of red discs that are on the ‘x’s’ which form the balustrade around the rotunda divided by 3.

E – Behind the rotunda is a wall. On back of this wall is a commemorative plaque marking the 125th anniversary of the structure. E is the sum of the digits in the second year minus the sum of the digits in the first year.

F – Count the number of bricks on the top of this wall (capping bricks). Add these two digits together and minus eleven.

You will now have a short drive to the destination.
