Geocache Description:

Situated along the Te Paki Stream, which provides the northernmost vehicle access between the Ninety Mile Beach and the state highway, this cache is a must for all Far North geocaching adventurers. The surrounding sand dunes are some of the most extensive in the country and provide a spectacular backdrop. There is plenty of sand to fill all your egg timers.

The cache is approximately 1km. return walk from the end of the Te Paki Stream access road which runs off SH 1 if you do not wish to take your vehicle down the stream.
Bring along a boogy board to surf the sand dunes, a camera to capture the grandeur, an egg timer to fill and in winter months gumboots to provide a defence against the stream.
The cache is an ammo can painted in camo colours and at the time of placement contained an assortment of trading items and a geocoin.
