Geocache Description:

We placed this cache whilst out on a family walk around Macc Forest.

If you want to have a really nice circular walk with the largest cache container in the area then I would do this as part of the Macclesfield Forest Multi Cache
(visit link)

I managed to push a double buggy all the way up here from the Standing Stone car park, then descending back down to the Leather's Smithy and using our 2nd car to get back up to our start point.

Unfortunately the tree's have all grown and the view from the top isn't what it once was, but as you walk around the forest you will get panoramic view's streching from the Cat & Fiddle to Shuttlingsloe, and across the Cheshire Plain to Jordrell Bank and beyond.

On a sunny weekend day it will be surprisingly busy up here, but the walk will certainly keep you fit and the box is more than big enough for most travel bugs who like being out in the country.

Enjoy

Andrew, Amanda, Amber, Elsie
