Geocache Description:

FTF *** D+L+F ***

The river park is Kent’s largest millennium scheme and also one of a lasting legacy of projects, funded in part by the National Lottery to celebrate the new Millennium.

The river park runs along the banks of the River Medway from Teston Bridge Country Park to Allington. It offers 10km of easily accessible paths linked by three nationally acclaimed pedestrian bridges.

The river park route features a rose garden and a roofed amphitheatre. The creation of the park led to the planting of 1500 new trees in Maidstone.

This cache is a 20mm white/clear canister forming part of a group of caches situated along Maidstone River Park. This cache is in the field a short walk away from the main path not located on the railway line. You DO NOT NEED to climb the steps that take you over the fence to the railway. DO NOT ENTER RAILWAY PROPERTY. Sit on the steps and enjoy the lovely views of Teston Bridge and surrounding. This cache is close to Teston Country Park. In the summer friendly cows usually occupy the field, look out for pats :)

Parking is available at either end of the route or within a short walking distance from each cache site if cache and dash is planned. Please observe local notices regarding parking charges.
