A cache up a tree on the outskirts of the Stanford campus
Please do not log this as a find unless you actually reach the container, open it and touch the log! Thank you.
In the dorm nearby, there is an odd tradition of showering people (clothes and all) on their birthday. When they came for me, I bolted, and was chased to this tree, up which I climbed to escape them. The cache is placed within reach of the spot I climbed to in order to avoid being soaked.
You should be able to see the gold ribbon securing it from the ground, so you'll know what you're getting into before you attempt the climb. The last leg is the hardest.
Please do not bring the container down with you - it is removable but removing it would weaken the adhesive that attaches the ribbon, and make it likely to fall. Bring a pen up there and sign it while standing on the branch, or bring just the log down with you. Getting down, as always, is the hardest part.
Finally, please do not attempt this climb if you think you cannot make it. I don't want any lawsuits. Just in case, you assume full liability in going for this cache. (That's probably somewhere in Geocaching.com's membership agreement, but it never hurts to be safe).
Good luck.
