Geocache Description:

This is one of our favorite loop trails. About a 30-40 min. round trip. 10-15 min. if you are jogging and 5-10 on mountain bike. From parking area head Southeast and follow trails. It is about 20-25 ft. off the trail at the top of the knoll.

las P. is one of our favorite hiking, mtn. biking and running areas. It is also a fav. mushrooming area for the fungi crowd. Although we are fun guys, we don't hunt and eat fungi.. we have a number of caches in the area and wanted to get a few out in this area of L.P. the majority of the land is owned by the college, but they are nice enough to let all of us play out here. TONS of poison oak off every inch of trail. This cache area is P.O. FREE. We hate the stuff and we keep our caches clear of it. The GPS was a bit bouncy as it always is up here. It was a very crisp and clear day though. Good luck and happy trecking. We gave it a 2 due to distance and a few small hills. The younger Hamboys have been hiking here for years, so just about anyone should be able to get this one. We often see turkeys, coyotes, bobcats and I always find a few large piles of bear scat near cache site every fall before harvest!
