Fjordglimt

Fjordglimt leirsted

Fjordglimt leirsted eies av Det norske Misjonsselskap, og ligger ved Sekkekilen I Bamble kommune. Leirstedet benyttes til kurs, konferanser, menighetsturer og leirer. Hovedbygget inneholder internat med plass til 49 personer, og det er flere hytter tilknyttet leirstedet. Store utendørs arealer hører også til området.

Da jeg var ung hadde vi mange, fine helger her ute med Borgestad Gospelgruppe. Natursti, volleyballkamper, og sang og gitarspill rundt peisen på kveldene.
Og det var vel ingen steder gutta fant på mer spikk enn akkurat her. Det var f.eks ikke særlig lurt å ha vinduer åpne på jentehyttene, de var garantert vekk når vi skulle legge oss !

Fjordglimt camp site is owned by the Norwegain Missionary Society situated at Sekkekilen in Bamble. The camp site is used for courses, conferences, church tours and camps. The main building includes a dormitory with space for 49 people, and there are several cabins on the property. Large outdoor areas also belong to the place. When I was young we had many good weekends out here with Borgestad Gospel Group. Nature trail, volleyball games, singing and guitar playing around the fireplace in the evenings. And it was just here the guys came up with dirty tricks all the time. Among other things, it was not very wise to have the windows open in the girls cabin, they were guaranteed gone at bedtime !
