Geocache Description:

This is a simple nano cache and dash at the base of the popular Lickey Hills country park near Birmingham.

There is a handy layby very close by, but be careful with children and pets as the speed limit is often ignored.

Cache is accessible by foot, bike or car and is a short stroll along pavements from Barnt Green railway station. If you're visiting the Lickey Hills, it is best to look for this cache on the way there or the way back.

This is a magnetic nano cache, only containing a logbook, so remember a pen to mark your visit!

Strictly located between Barnt Green and Cofton Hackett, this cache would probably call Barnt Green home, although as you'll discover, there's some debate about exactly what village it is in.

The cache is located within easy reach of the footway, and should not require much in the way of moving branches or foliage. Stealth may be required during the rush hour, although bursts of traffic are interspersed with quiet periods. Foot traffic is rare.

The history of the area is covered in other nearby cache descriptions, but there are a number of local points of interest:
- The Lickey Hills are accessible by a footpath a few minutes walk up Cherry Hill Road
- Barnt Green Railway Station is about 5 minutes walk away, and occasionally plays host to special steam train trips. Trains run every half hour to Birmingham and Redditch
- Barnt Green village is within an easy walk and contains an eclectic mix of shops (ranging from a hardware store to a charity shop and a plethora of upmarket boutiques). As the village is home to some of Birmingham's more high-profile inhabitants, it's not unheard of to see pop stars and footballers in the parade of shops.
- Bittell Reservoir is approximately 15 minutes away on foot and home to a sailing club and other similar activites.
