Scenic 40, Shipways Inn and Cottages

Can you Imagine a day 70 years ago … Travel, Technology, Life was all so different back then.
America had come into the Motor Age, Americans wanted to travel in their new Automobiles.
In that day the Highway wasn’t four lanes of speed but two of travel, usually along path’s that Armies, wagons and carts have passed over before.

The National Highway 40 was being built from Coast to Coast and Americans began to travel about the country.

At the Crest of Green Ridge Mountain travelers found rest for the night at the Shipways Inn and Cottages. Approaching from the East the main house would have sat on your Left and the cottages to follow along the road to the Left at the Y

This area is No Longer the site of the Shipways Inn or Cottages, They have been left to memories of those who visited along their journeys.

The cache you seek has been placed in the most unobvious spot to the local muggles.

The cache is hidden in plain site, but has Geo markings on it to allow for a quick grab and not raise to many Muggle concerns, Please use Great Stealth to not attract a lot of attention.
Parking is provided by means of a gravel shoulder at the Intersection so Be Careful of Traffic moving along all roads.

Take time to enjoy the History and Scenic Beauty of Route 40.
