Ghouls Woods Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
"There are many of us living in the woods, but only I have your quary. I am old, tall and have quite a large girth. I live a metre or so from a wall.
Mott The Hoople had a hit that got to number 8 in the UK charts in December 1973. You will need to do this.
"
The cache can be accessed from both ends of the woods by way of stone wall stiles, on a public footpath that runs through the bottom of this small woods. Please do not climb over the dry-stone walls or fences into the woods! The public footpath runs from Rowarth to Aspenshaw/Thornsett, over fields which can get quite muddy during the winter months (and some summers). The woods are on a bank and tend to be dry underfoot, although in the winter months the leaves can be slippery. As There is limited on-road parking adjacent to the woods at the Aspenshaw end, it is preferable to park at the Little Mill Inn at Rowarth and walk the half mile or so to the cache. Not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
