Geocache Description:

Part of the Kenticky Covered Bridge Challenge.

BENNETT’S MILL BRIDGE

This bridge is one of Kentucky’s longest wooden, one-span, covered bridges. It is 195 feet long. The bridge is still in use today. B. F. Bennett and his brother Pramley Bennett built the bridge about 1856 for the convenience of the customers visiting their mill. The bridge still stands even after severe flooding over the many years of its life. The original footings and frame-work are intact. The bridge wood was originally left unpainted and has weathered to its present aged and rustic appearance.

There is no cell service in this area. Cache is a 3” x 4” plastic, cammoed kitchen-type container. This cache is here to bring you to see the covered bridges of Kentucky. Hopefully you will discover them all. Therefore, a good clue is given to help locate the cache quickly and give you time to enjoy the bridge.

CONGRATS TO ABEANDSARAH FOR FTF!!
