One of many statues wordwide honouring Nelson Mandela. This is a well-visited tourism spot, so many tourist-muggles around. Worse than the tourists though, prison guards!! Use stealth and please put the cache back where you find it, and make sure it looks "normal" - for muggles that is. Take lots of pictures not to raise suspicion.
Nelson Mandela was released from this prison on the 2nd of February, 1990, after spending 27 years in prison in total. The Sexwale Family Foundation has commissioned this "LONG WALK TO FREEDOM" statue in honour of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, together with all those who walked before, alongside and for him in the quest for a united, non-racial, non-sexist, democratic and free South Africa, as part of the international struggle for human solidarity against all forms of oppression and exploitation. (Inscription on base of statue )
