We actually hid the cache at 11.11a.m. on 11/1/11 .It is a small plastic food container holding log book and attached pencil plus a few items to exchange.
This area was chosen by us as we are working members of the Garforth in Bloom team and visit this spot regularly. The view from here can ,on a good day ,be spectacular, and 30/40 miles of scenery can lay in front of you . The tall thin construction in the distance is the Emley Moor transmitter vital for TV ! The underlying rock here is magnesian limestone which extends in a band throughout Yorkshire and many buildings along it's line are built using it. The most famous building that has stood for many years, and will stand for many ,many more, is York Minster. The stone is fairly soft and is constantly eroding .Fortunately for the Minster there is a large supply and they get theirs from the Tadcaster Quarry.
Please feel free to weed the flower display !
