Small Cache with room for swaps and log book.
Berry Head Views
This is our first cache, put in an area we visit every day to walk the dog. It is a small plastic clip box with room for small swaps and travelbugs.
Berry Head National Nature Reserve guards the southern half of Torbay. One of the Gateways to the English Riviera Global Geopark, it is an internationally-acclaimed heritage site, home to a fascinating variety of wildlife and history, with recently restored Napoleonic-War fortifications. Enjoy the stunning views and superb local food at our new Guardhouse Cafe, visit our brand-new Visitor Centre or one of our events, and walk the ramparts as the soldiers did 200 years ago.
The long, limestone promontory of Berry Head has long played an important role protecting our nation. From Iron Age forts to impressive Napoleonic buildings and the modern day lighthouse and coastguard station, Berry Head has a wealth of history to explore.
Whilst visiting this cache in the Southern fort please take time to explore this beautiful area and appreciate the breathtaking views. There are some other caches around this area which could be explored at the same time.
Please be careful near the edges, especially if you have children or dogs with you.
