Geocache Description:

Flower Moon

This is just a short event at the Spanish Fork Library Park on Tuesday May 17 at 10 PM. The Full Moon should be coming up over the mountain soon after this time.

This event is on the night of The Flower Moon, also called the milk, corn or hare's moon.

Many cultures named each full moon. There are lots of lists; Colonial American, Chinese, 3 different American Indian lists, Celtic, English Medieval, etc. Many of the lists vary slightly because of the difference in placing a moon name with a month.

This will be the fifth full moon of the year. The second full moon of Spring.

This is my eighth Moon Event, I plan on doing 13. Because of my work schedule, 2 of the 13 events will have to be one day before the actual full moon and one will be one day later. This is the latest time (10 PM) a moon event will be. ',,'
