The checks have been paid (with a good size tip I hope,) the
cachers have gone, the tables have been cleared, The lights are
being turned off and the staff is on the way home. And so another
successful Meet and Greet has ended. Everyone seemed to like this
venue, so I a few months I'll try to find time for another, if not
then maybe same weekend next year, when the 'Bike Swap' happens,
some of us did get there earlier in the day and stock up on
supplies for the summer riding and caching.
how do you get to a cache? Walk, drive, fly, bicycle, motorcycle,
kayak, pogo stick? It doesn't matter, In the middle of February I
don't really plan on Bicycling to (or from) this event, but I'll be
dreaming of cycling to a cache. Helping me through the Cycling
Winter is an event earlier the morning of this meet and greet, an
indoor bicycle swap at the Carroll County Agricultural Center. The
swap meet runs from 9-2, so start there early to get your biking
supplies then head on over to Mediterraneo Pizza where we can enjoy
pizza, subs, or whatever suites your fancy,. I've had subs from
here and find them quite good.
Of course if you don't cycle to a cache, you're just as welcome as
cycling cachers. If only cycling cachers show up, I'm afraid that
there would not be many coming.
