The cache is located just off the Serendipity Trail, perhaps the least traveled trail in the park. This peaceful trail circumnavigates Black Water Swamp and is a great trail for viewing the park’s wildlife and enjoying the solitude. I had another cache, "Black Water Swamp", in this same area for several years. But it kept getting muggled, so I decided to archive it and place a new hide
This particular place is a great spot to greet the onset of morning, especially in the colder months when the leaves are off the trees. As the sky to the east begins to lighten as sunrise approaches, one can enjoy the transition from darkness to light in a peaceful place close to the busy highway, but surrounded by nature. And if one is there at the right time and really, really quiet, you just might hear the crack of dawn
The cache is a one of those homemade containers made from the tops of two wide-mouth drink bottles, glued together. It has a log but no pencil. So be sure to bring your own writing instrument! The cache should be easy to find. Please return it to its hiding spot exactly as you found it, replacing any cover material, so that others may have the same challenge in locating the cache. And so that it will not get muggled! Enjoy your search!
