For the March meeting we will be going to the Chattahoochee Nature
Center in Roswell.
The Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) provides unique learning
experiences focused on the Chattahoochee River that connects people
to the natural world and empower them to positively impact their
local environments.

The CNC will be offering a reduced entrance fee of $3.00 per person
for this event (normally $8.00).
We will be meeting from 1:00 to 4:00
From 1:30 to 2:00 we will be doing a walking tour of the aviaries
and grounds to learn about the native wildlife living at the
CNC.
From 2:00 to 4:00 we will be having a presentation from a
Wilderness Survival expert on dealing with snake, spider, and
insect bites while on the trail. The presentation will also include
basic trail first aid, and first aid preparedness, including what
your day hike first aid kit should contain.
GingerPGA has volunteered to inspect and certify child safety
seats. Ginger is a licensed child safety seat inspector. If you are
interested in this please note it in your "will attend" log so we
know how much time to allow for this.
There will be several new caches placed in the park before the
event so you can arrive early and get your caching fix in. This
will be your only chance to grab these caches with a reduced
entrance fee into the CNC.
The GGA will be providing drinks and water for the event. We would
greatly appreciate if some folks could donate some snacks (cookies,
chips, etc). Thanks in advance.
As always the travel bug corral will be there for travel bug swaps
and discovers. Its great to see so many travel bugs signed in
already.
As always the GGA cash cache will be there for any donations that
you may want to make to help pay for this program and future GGA
programs.
Local Roswell cachers have set it up so that you can achieve all
the requirements for the "one busy day challenge" (GC1KZAM). So if
you are interested in this challenge this is a golden opportunity
to full fill the requirements for this challenge cache.
