One of our all time favourite movies is

The Shawshank Redemption



It is a film about an innocent man (Andy Dufresne) sentenced to life imprisonment. It is a story about dignity, hope and friendship and about Andy escaping from Shawshank prison.

In dedication to this classic, we have created four new caches. It is your challenge to help Andy escape from prison and reunite him with his inmate friend, Red. You don’t have to have seen the movie, but it may help with understanding some of the nuances.

At each of the first three caches you will find bits of information that will ultimately lead you to the location of the final cache.

This is the first cache in this series.

After a lengthy trial, Andy is given two life sentences at Shawshank Prison, Maine’s most notoriously tough correction facility. If you decode the attached text file correctly you will get a glimpse of where Andy wants to spend his life after escaping from jail:
