Geocache Description:

This is the third cache of our series incorporating part of the Huddersfield narrow canal. The series is a good way to explore Milnsbridge and discover its industrial past.

The Milnsbridge Circular Walk can be completed in around 45 minutes and is ideal for families and dog walkers.

A guide to the walk along with the history of the area can be found on the following web page: (visit link)

This cache is dedicated to my late father Allan, whose main passion in life was angling and he particularly loved the Huddersfield Narrow canal. He could be found fishing on the canal most weekends and often chose this length of the canal, known as John Lockwood's.

The cache itself is a camo tube with a screw cap. Due to tree cover the coordinates may be out, please advise if this is the case.

After finding this cache, continue along the path to #4 in the series, An Explosive Past.
