Geocache Description:

Yorkley is a large village situated 2.5 miles north of Lydney and just under 8 miles south of Cinderford. The village sits on top of a hill at 600ft above sea level, giving panoramic views of the Severn and the Cotswold Hills. To the North the village is bounded by forest and to the south by agricultural land. Yorkley is also where I grew up and lived in a house overlooking Captain's Green.

From number 3 walk towards the T junction and turn left towards Yorkley. This is again a busy and fast piece of forest road, so do take care walking along the verges and cross over with care. The cache may be accessed from the parking spot where the forestry track meets the main road between Parkend and Yorkley - making it another C&D possibility. Thanks to the Forestry Commission for permission to place this cache.
