Geocache Description:

Captain's Green is on the Western edge of the village of Yorkley and is where I played cricket and football as a boy. The large house on the southern edge of the green once belonged to the Church of England, having a church downstairs and a flat above. Before that time I first remember the house as a doctor's surgery, being owned by doctor Ellison our family doctor. The background to the name of Captain's Green is uncertain, with various stories of a Naval Captain living there.

From number 4 follow the main track south west through the deep dark wood of very tall coniferous trees. These are some of the largest trees and densest patches of forest in the area. I remember when the tallest of the conifers were only shoulder height and the area was much lighter, with open views down the valley. (Mind you that was just after God got into long trousers). At N51 45.838 W002 32.027 (meeting point of tracks) take path uphill (due south). With thanks to the Forestry Commission for their permission to place all of our caches.
This cache is not a standard size and is partially disguised - do use the clue.
