Last of the series before returning to Mallards Pike. The cache is located in the entrance to a small disused stone quarry. Quarries are clearly visible along the main road to the north of this area - known as the Long Straights to the locals - between Mallards Pike and Blakeney. The stone hewn from this small quarry may have been used for local houses. The quarry has not been used for many years as can be seen from its overgrown state.
From cache 9 near Danby Lodge continue downhill to a viewpoint on the right of the path at N51 46.406 W002 30.810 which overlooks the valley at Blackpool Bridge. Take care with children around here as there is quite a drop on the front edge of the viewpoint. From the viewpoint take the left path downhill to a graded forestry track.
This cache is a small plastic clip lock type container with room for small swaps. Please note no scrambling up the sides of the stone quarry is necessary to grab the cache.
Thanks to the Forestry Commission for permission to place this cache.
