Geocache Description:

Grave Garden. This is a micro. BYOP.

I love the Old City Cemetery! It's one of my favorite spots in Lynchburg. I wanted to hide a cache here so that more people could check out this awesome place.

The entrance to the Old City Cemetery is located at the corner of Fourth and Taylor Streets (off of 5th Street).

The Cemetery is free and open to the public every day of the year, dawn to dusk. Unless ice and snow make the driveway impassable, the Cemetery gates are always open between dawn and dusk.

The historic cemetery site consists of 4 museums, over 20,000 graves, 2,200 Confederate graves and an arboretum with 19th century horticulture, including a famous antique rose garden. Brochures and booklets are available at the gatehouse entrance and several other locations. Please take the time to enjoy this beautiful and unique spot in Lynchburg.

PS - don't forget to stop and say hello to one of the cemetery's many resident cats! :)
