The (very) Prickly Touch Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

geohatter: Hi
I notice that this cache appears to have been unavailable for some time now. Would the owner please check this cache and see if it still in place or give an indication of when it may be sorted out. Otherwise it should be archived. If there is no response to this log after 14 days I may archive the cache, in the meantime I am disabling it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Many thanks,

Paul

Geocache Description:

This is a sandwich-box style Cache. Which should include some treasure and will happily contain Travel Bugs. There will be dog walkers so beware.

This cache is named in honour of the first local cache we found: 'The Gentle Touch' instigated by 'JimJinks', who no doubt will be one of the first to find here. The cache is near to a public footpath and by a stream. The terrain is easy, but is muddy in the winter and autumn. AND importantly there are a lot of brambles near GZ, hence the difficulty rating

Please be aware that its not easy to park really close here and you will be looking at at least a 10 minute round trip from suitable parking. I would recomend parking on the side of St Margaret's Church on the road, and before you cross the railway bridge.

GZ is close to the entrance to a local Nature reserve; as you walk you will have the opportunity to see some wildlife, especially birds, (in fact as we were placing this I saw a small flock of long tailed tits) and there are also horses near by.

AGAIN BE AWARE LOTS OF BRAMBLES ESPECIALLY IN THE SUMMER AND SPRING SO NOT A EASY CACHE.
