A traditional small snap box cache continaing trinkets and mini-goodies. The Second cache of TeamMelmyn
The cache is placed in our picturesque village of Bettws Cedewain. It is placed on the bank of the River Bechan).
The recommended waypoint is the Bettws Village centre carpark in front of the village hall. Park here and prepare for a short wall over fields. Walk away from the village on the River side path. When the path curves off to the left.. keep going straight across the field to the corner ahead and to the right.
Pass through the gate and continue down to the Bechan. Cross the bridge and walk parallel to the horse field and towards the bowling green. You're very close now!
The GPS co-orginates are reasonably accurate, taken with 5 Satellites on my Blackberry. You will need to cross over a galv-steel gate to get to the cache, but you won't need to cross any water. Remember to replace the Geo-Sticks! Refer to spoiler if you need more help.
An alternative waypoint is the Bowling club car park which you will first come too, on the Right if you've driven from Tregynon. This skips the bulk of the walk from Bettws Village carpark. But if you're new to the area, you will see a lot more if you use the Village car park waypoint described first above.
