Geocache Description:

This is a traditional cache on a footpath near the River Meon. It's a short walk East from the Titchfield foot path that goes from Titchfield directly South to the beach by Meonshore Chalets. It's also accessible from the footpath from the Titchfield Road, that runs between Titchfield and Stubbington.

The terrain is flat and it's a relatively easy find. In the winter, this area floods. You can always access it from the footpath from the Titchfield Road, but you may struggle to access it from the West even in wellies (it's fun to try, though it depends on the amount of rain we've had). In summer when the flood plains recede this area can be accessed both from the footpath from the West or from the footpath that winds down from the Titchfield Road. In the winter, be very careful where you tread. If you don't have wellies, you may end up with a wet foot if you don't take care. The cache is a small tupperware box with a smiley face on a bright orange lid. It's our first ever cache, so we're excited and hope you like it. There's no room for swaps, but you will find a King's Crown inside. We'd love it if you take a photo of yourselves wearing the Crown and post it for us all to see. We're excited to see how grand all us Geocachers can look in a crown. We are grateful to the Titchfield Haven for their permission to place this cache here. This is in a beautiful Nature Reserve.
