One of my favourite walks in Midgic. During my BSc biology at MtA ('94) shown by DW from Ducky's as a great place to hunt varying hare. You can actually go and not hear any man made sounds for long stretches.
A bit more difficult to reach in the winter - I used snowshoes to get there. If the ATVs or snowmobiles have gone through, it will be a lot easier.
The GPS location is right on the spot; you have to go into the woods only a short way. BEAR HAVE BEEN SEEN HERE, THERE ARE OLD APPLE TREES AND NEW BLUEBERRY FIELDS. BLACK BEAR HAVE VERY RARELY ATTACKED ANYONE IN RECORDED HISTORY AND BY ANIMAL BEHAVIOURISTS JUST GIVE THEM A WIDE BERTH AND ENJOY A VARY RARE LIFE EXPERIENCE!
It is hanging, so it doesn't get lost in winter. You will be on the far side the brook that cuts across the trail. It is a tributary to the larger watercourse to the right of the trail (heading in). Just above eye level.
Many thanks to the conscientious "maintainers and note takers". CB44
