Canopy Creek Series is part of a new
series of trails that just opened up to hikers, riders and bikers,
no motorized vehicles allowed! There is parking available at
multiple points on this trail (see map). The trail is on a public
easement authorized by Martin County and is clearly marked
Equestrian Trail throughout.
The Palm City Farms Trail Association (PCFTA) has been
instrumental in helping to obtain the right to use this trail. The
PCFTA does tremendous work in making this trail available to all,
including cachers.
We laid this series on both bike and foot, horse rider's would
have a blast getting all of these hides, no doubt, but there are
some rather rough patches along the way that make bike riding a bit
difficult, so we walked our bikes through those sandy areas and
continued on with ease. There are some really fun things to see on
this trail and we hope you all enjoy doing it! Having said that,
it's January and not so wet right now, but we are fairly certain
that come the rainy season, some of this might not be so
pleasant.
Also, please, please use your walking stick when attempting this
trail, we did not see any snakes at all, but you can count on it
when it's a bit warmer. Use your GC senses and always be careful
when in the woods! These caches will make the kids happy, we
promise, especially if you do it when it's still dry out!!! Nice
swag and fun hides (although slightly evil at times) for
everyone!!!
Good luck and have fun!!!!
