Geocache Description:

You won't actually need a key for the cache... but you sure will need a key if you want to go further to unlock the gate if you wish to continue on this trail... but it's worth the effort to see such awesome scenery, trust me.

A 4WD is needed beyond the gate that needs a key (hence the terrain rating) and you will need to pay for a National Parks pass and you will need a key (which can be obtained from the Information Centre in Port Lincoln) if you want to make the trip more than a caching outing. This cache is an easy to find jointly placed cache by voogoofish and jafibety (who took both families down to Memory Cove on the day the cache was placed) that is designed to encourage you to go beyond the cache and into an official "wilderness area" in this beautiful park. information on memory cove and how to get a key is here

The history of Memory Cove and how the islands around this area are related to this cove is a sad but interesting one, as well as (if you really research) the old shipping 'postal service' at Memory Cove. If you get any good photo's of Memory Cove (or the other sites & views on the drive in) please add them with your find.

The cache originally contained a compass keyring, pink mini slinky, spoon multi tool keyring, baby wood massager, tazo ring, Balicare keyring and geocoin.
