Answer: When it's art!!!!
FiedoGang drives along this street all the time. Many a time
have we wondered: "What are those yellow things?!"
Well, it turns out they are landmarks established as part of
Austin's Art in Public
Places project. These items appear throughout Austin at sites
such as the airport, convention center, libraries, parks, police
stations, recreation centers, and streetscapes.
This particular installation is called LAB. Fiedo thought that
LAB was short for some kind of dog, but no ...
The yellow is significant because LAB stands for "Lance
Armstrong Bikeway".
The best place to park a car is probably a short distance to the
north close to the YMCA and softball fields.
This is a really busy corner. Not only cars, but cyclists and
joggers too. So please be stealthy.
Sometimes this work of art is even used as exercise equipment.
Then it can take a while for the muggles to go away...
Hint for newbies: To replace the log, roll tightly, very
tightly, and insert in the lid first.
Congratulations ATXca$hman to the FTF.
By the way, if you read all the hints, the difficulty goes
down.
