There are a lot of bridges in the "downtown" area of Collinsville. Most are small, many are old, and some aren't used anymore. To give these bridges some attention, and because I think they are pretty interesting, I have started placing a cache at some of them.
This particular bridge is composed of a single lane that crosses a stream which ends up flowing into Wills Creek. It is made almost entirely of wood. It is safe, or at least open for traffic. But don't worry - a church is close by and plenty of people will be more than happy to pray for you if you have an accident.
You are looking a container a little bigger than a bison tube with log only. BYOP. You do not need to go on the bridge to get the cache. There is plenty of parking at the church nearby. I would not recommend trying to find this cache on Sundays or Wednesdays during scheduled church services. Please be respectful if you park in this parking lot. Traffic here is light, and you will likely have enough time to stay in the road or pull into the right of way long enough to get your smiley. Stealth, while not a necessity, would help to ensure the survival of this cache.
