Geocache Description:

Part of the Dearly Departed series. This cache is dedicated to my grandparents. This is a short multi-cache in a cemetery. Please be very respectful in your visit. Do not visit this cache after dark.

My grandparents lived in Mineral Wells their whole lives. My grandfather ran the family insurance and abstract / land title company his entire adult life. The company is still in business in downtown Mineral Wells. My grandmother was a housewife extraordinaire. She cared for me while my parents worked and when I started school, she picked me up each and every afternoon. She also made a home-cooked meal for the entire family each day for lunch. I felt it would be great to honor them through my love for geocaching.

STAGE ONE:

You will start at the resting site of my grandparents. You are looking for "Poe". You should take note of his entire name, as you may need it later. When facing his grave, my grandmother is lying to your left. Take note of the birth date of each in the following format:

A / B C / D E F G for my grandmother's birth date and
H / I J / K L M N for my grandfather's birth date.

Complete the following using these numbers.

N 3 F ° 4 N . B G G - W 0 A G ° 0 J . 0 M K

You will now have the coordinates for stage two.

STAGE TWO:

You now stand before a plaque commemorating the Col. Donald R. Burns Memorial Rose Garden. Please take time to read about Mr. Burns. This man was a friend of my grandparents and was a POW. My grandfather and his friend, Mr. Joe Jack Burks were the head of a committee that brought the Rose Garden to be. It has fallen into disrepair in recent years, but hopefully the city will bring it back to it's former glory.

On the bottom plaque, you should find my grandfather's name as the representative of a certain group. Take note of the numbers contained in this group in the following format:

P Q R S

Also, on the bottom plaque, find the date the Rose Garden was dedicated and record the numbers in this format:

T / U V / W X Y Z

Using all the numbers you've recorded, complete the following:

N 3 I ° R Z . F M T - W 0 Y G ° 0 T . G V 3

You now have the coordinates for the final stage.

FINAL STAGE:

You are looking for a small canister filled with several trade items.

Hope you enjoy this multi!

NOTE: Each 0 is a zero. There is no letter O.
