Geocache Description:

This cache allows you to find some of the hidden area's of Hastings Old Town, made famous in the TV series Foyle's War. You will need to visit 4 sites to gain information to find the cache. All area's are within 10 mins walk of each other. The cache is a small plastic container a log book and a few goodies.

There was very little major crime in Hastings during the war years, there was only one murder, that was a 74 year old lady who was killed in Carlisle Parade underground car park, which was used as an air raid shelter. The soldier, who killed her, then committed suicide. Mr Foyle would have had a less busy life, that depicted in Foyle’s War. Please enjoy this short tour of our old Town. Free car parking is not easy, beware of resident parking spaces. I have included an area where free parking is possible, this is close to walk and location of cache The coordinates given is not the position of the cache but the starting point, of Foyle's House “St Just". Now you move onto a memorial garden where you can see the real cost of war. Next retrace your steps to a one of the little Twittens in the Old Town. The final clue can be found at a very pretty spot which was used in one of episodes of Foye's War. The cache can be found at N 50 (A+20) 7(B-3) E 000 35 6(C+5)(D+5)
