Geocache Description:

This cache takes you to the location of Clifton House school

Like so many other old Harrogate Schools this one no longer exists
, indeed the site it used to sit on is now a relatively new block
of low rise flats and the only thing that remains is the name
Clifton House.

Originally opened in Queen Parade in the 1890s, Its
owner, James Walter Nuttall, moved the school from Queen Parade to
Stray Rd in 1906, where it remained until it it closed in 1968 The
school magazine was called "Aquila", beyond this there is very
little recorded history of this forgotten Harrogate School.

This cache is in a high muggle area and is overlooked by several flats,
however the occupants will be used to folks in the area so as long
as you are not going into gardens etc ( you do not need to ) they
should not be bothered by your presence. so stealth is essential,
but it would be good if you could post photos of area as you find
the cache ( but no spoilers please ) to show just how many muggles
can be unaware of a cache under there noses.

It is highly unlikely you will see this area as quiet as it was when I placed the cache
so lets see those photos and try to keep this cache from being
muggled.
