Geocache Description:

The upgrade of the A4 road between the Dungannon Bypass and Ballygawley Roundabout was completed and officially opened on the 1st December 2010, 2 months ahead of schedule at a cost of £116 million. This highway improvement project formed part of the Regional Transportation Stategy Document for Northern Ireland published in 2002. The vision of this strategy was ‘to have a modern, sustainable, safe transportation system which benefits society, the economy and the environment and which actively contributes to social inclusion and everyone’s quality of life.’

The cache: A container about twice the length of a 35mm film canister but of similar diameter. It is in a designated parking area, but can only be retrieved on the west-bound carriageway. Please bring a pen to sign the log.

*Cache Name inspired by a quote from G.K. Chesterton
