Geocache Description:

A well stocked sandwich container with nearby parking, making this suitable for a cache and dash.

Goring-on-Thames is a picturesque village which won the Oxfordshire Village of the Year in 2009. In the early 90's, for some unknown reason, Goring became THE place for teenagers from the surrounding area to hang out. Wednesday and Friday nights would sometimes see 100s of teens congregating on the rec and around the village.

This series celebrates some of the places where various "posses" would hang out - either on foot or in cars.

Streatley Rec was just far enough out of the way to make it an excellent place for those with cars to park up and enjoy the quiet life. I remember turning up here one Sunday evening to find it looking like a car park with roughly 10 or 12 cars parked up!
