Ghost Bike Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

BrewSleuth: Cache is indeed missing. I don't have a replacement today. Thinking about a new cache located nearby to memorialize this spot in the future.

Geocache Description:

Bison insert with cammo, log only.

"Ghost Bikes are small and somber memorials for bicyclists who are killed or hit on the street. A bicycle is painted all white and locked to a street sign near the crash site, accompanied by a small plaque. They serve as reminders of the tragedy that took place on an otherwise anonymous street corner, and as quiet statements in support of cyclists' right to safe travel." GhostBikes.org This cache brings you to the ghost bike that is a memorial to Christophe Le Canne's death January 17, 2010 on the Bear Cut Bridge. Since the cache was originally hidden, three names have been added memorializing additional deaths of cyclist along this road. The ghost bike is also waymark WMA1EC. There is additional information regarding the accident and memorial linked there.
