The Snowy Day Cache Series ~ "Cold Winter" Traditional Cache

Special note to all those dedicated Geocachers who cache 24 hours a day, this Morris County park is open 8AM to dusk. There is a gate across the parking lot, so please follow the park rules.

The Snowy Day Cache Series is simply a dash and cache you can locate after a snow storm when you want to go caching. The Snowy Day cache locations should be easy to locate on a snowy day, sign the log, then be on your way. The Snowy Day caches are higher off the ground so there is no need for searching for a cache on the ground under the snow. This cache is protected but may be slightly snow covered after a storm.

Loantaka Brook Reservation offers 5 miles of multi-use paved trails stretching throughout the park. This Morris County Park got its name from the Native American Lenni-Lenape Tribe. Loantaka means "the place of the cold winter" which refers to the Great Swamp and surrounding area.

This cache is placed for all those dedicated geocachers who brave all the weather elements to seek a geocache and keep their streak alive.
