While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian cache owners, geocachers and cache reviewers can understand what it says.)

Nede på stasjonen



Gamle Lier stasjon ble i 1872 etablert på Hegsbros grunn i Lierbyen, som stasjon på jernbanestrekningen Drammen â013 Kristiania. Fra 1904 omfattet stasjonen også Lierbanen fra Lier til Svangstrand med båtforbindelse videre til Sundvollen. Etter at den nye jernbanetunnelen fra Lier til Asker ble åpnet i 1973, ble den gamle jernbanestrekningen på Drammensbanen gjennom Lier omlagt og stasjonen nedlagt.
I 1993 ble de forfallene byggingene på stasjonsområdet rehabilitert og tatt i bruk til foreninger og fortetningsvirksomhet.
I det gamle toget er det i dag kafé og pub. Her kan man møtes for å gå på konsert, eller bare for å ta seg en øl en lørdagskveld.

Old Lier station was established in 1872 on land in Hegsbros in Lierbyen, which drive on the railway line Drammen â013 Christiania. From 1904 the station covered the path Lierbanen from Lier to Svangstrand with the ferry on to Sundvollen. Once the new rail tunnel from Lier to Asker, opened in 1973, was the old railway line at Drammen line through Lier altered and the station closed down.
In 1993, the maturities of the station building rehabilitated and adopted to the condensation of associations and activities.
In the old train, it is now cafe and pub. Here you can meet to go to a concert, or just to grab a beer on a Saturday night.
