The tour is optional. (but worth the time) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

JoesBar: Five years, almost 500 visitors, and over 10 favorite points, but I have to retire this one. There are now signs posted stating this area is 'closed.' It was only about 20 feet in, but closed is closed. I will respect the staff at the cemetery.

Geocache Description:

FTF goes to: Andromeda321!

IMPORTANT:

  • Cemetery hours are 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. The gates are locked at other hours.
  • I have included a waypoint for the Mayfield Rd. gate. You can use the Euclid Ave. gate if you wish, but the closest approach is from Mayfield Rd.
  • DO NOT PARK RIGHT NEXT TO THE CACHE! That is a service road. You can park less than 100 ft. away on a cemetery road.

  • There is plenty of natural material near the cache. Please insure that the cache is covered prior to leaving.

    The Tour:

My previous caches here have been multi-caches involving several stops you were required to visit in order to find the final. I have made this cache a straight forward find, with an optional tour.
I suggest you leave your car where it is and walk to these interesting monuments. Allow about 30 minutes. There are no major elevation changes. I have listed additional waypoints for these six spots. If you follow in the listed order, you will make a clockwise circle and return to you car.

  1. Sundial. Steffee monument. N 41° 30.890 W 81° 35.115
This location is very near the cache. It’s a working sundial.
  2. Boys on a Wall. Evans monument. N 41° 30.854 W 81° 35.186 Read the inscription.
  3. A Bronze woman. Gentile monument. N 41° 30.944 W 81° 35.154 I thought this was a nice statue.
  4. Lerner mausoleum. N 41° 30.992 W 81° 35.148 Fans of the Browns may be interested in this location.
  5. Sunset. Daniels monument. N 41° 30.961 W 81° 35.135 Take a look. Also, look to your right. A local baking family is there.
  6. Stained glass. Pax monument. N 41° 30.928 W 81° 35.131 I think this would look spectacular in the early morning.

Proceed east past this location up the slight incline. Your car will be right there.
