Geocache Description:

This cache is located close to Chester-le-Street Riverside Nature Reserve.

Designated as a Local Nature Reserve since 2004, the area was originally arable farmland which was transformed by the planting of thousands of trees and wildflowers grown from seeds gathered from local traditional hay meadows. The sculpture, created by sculptor Fred Watson is part of the wildlife and sculpture trail.

The River Wear is close by, so please be aware if you are visiting with young children.

Cache placed with kind permission from Durham County Council - Chester-le-Street Riverside.
