Geocache Description:

Have the kids look out for the emu and kangaroo......

Heatherton's Kingston Heath Reserve Botanic Gardens were planted out with more than 5000 specially selected native species in 2009. The $10K project involved clearing and pruning existing vegetation, soil improvement and landscaping a creek and billabong. Blossoming inside the north-eastern side of the park are banksia, eucalypts and native frangipani. There are paths to amble on, signs to read naming the plants (my favourite is Eremophila maculata), large grassed areas and seats that invite you to sit back and soak up the serenity. Ahhhh....

PS, there is a path, there is no need to force your way through any of the scrub.
