Second in a series of 15 caches between Edgeworth and Bisley. The full series involves an 8 mile walk which may be muddy in places.
From the miracle cache, walk a few paces down the road to a stile then follow the field path to Edgeworth Church and continue through the churchyard to the lane.
The cache is a clip-lock box placed outside the churchyard.
St Mary's, Edgeworth is a Saxon Church extended in 12th and 13th centuries with the tower added in the 15th century
Look for the votive crosses carved by pilgrims on the right jam of the Norman south doorway and the 14th century stained glass window depicting St Thomas a Becket commemorating the miracle of Richard Sunieve. Look also at the fossils embedded in the porch floor.
The remainder of caches in the series are:-
Edgeworth Miracle
Tunley
Watercombe
RUPP
Bisley Boy
Limekiln Lane
Jaynes Court
Bisley Track
Lock-up
Beggarly Bisley
Deer Hare
Juniper Hill
Halfpenny Belt
If anybody would like to expand the Church Micro series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
Congratulations Carroq on being first to find.
