pixeltash: I retrieved the rather sad cache from the smelly wheelie bin area. Looks like the locals are now keeping thier bins at gz so it's time to archive. Keep a look out for a new multi coming soon.

Geocache Description:

Get a different view of Ampthill town centre, look down on the supermarket site and see the remains of Morris Brewery. The orange/red brick walls and the Chinese restaurant building are all that remain of the brewery that was here from 1770 to 1926.

Nothing remains of the old Zonita cinema, which closed in the 1950s when the building became Roses department store and in the 1980s a snooker hall and complex of small shops known as Roses Walk, on the right as you looked at it was a 1960s supermarket, where the small shops and flats are now and behind it car parks and to the left a large petrol station, where you can now see the supermarket and service area.

Everything, except the remains of the brewery which has grade listed protection, was levelled in 2005/2006 to make way for the large supermarket, small shops and flats that are on the site today.

If you want to continue your walk, go to the top of the hill and there you will find a footpath on the right, that will lead you into Ampthill Park

Nano cache bring your own pencil and please only remove lid, you will know why when you see it.

Please log any did not finds or problems
