Geocache Description:

Seventh in a series of 16 caches between Edgeworth and Bisley. The full series involves an 8 mile walk which may be muddy in places.

Continue from RUPP, following track around to the left.
Cache is a plastic tub.

As the tower of Bisley church comes into view, it is time to hear the legend of the Bisley Boy.
In 1542, Henry Vlll was on his way to hunt at Berkley and left his 9 year old daughter, Elizabeth at Overcourt in Bisley. Unfortunately, she fell ill and died. Fearfull of the King's reaction, a substitute for the princess had to be found. No suitable girl was available so a red haired boy was substituted. This is why Elizabeth l never married, went bald, and forbade any post mortem examination after her death!
In the 19th century, the body of a young girl in Tudor clothing was allegedly dug up in the grounds of Overcourt.

The remainder of caches in the series are:-
