The Cedar that Stands Alone Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Keats94: Looks like this cache has fallen victim to the curse of repetitive cases of growing legs and booking it outta here. Stay tuned for something else in this area.

Geocache Description:

The large cedar tree will stand like a flag to indicate the location of this cache. The cache and tree are located in an area of Burnaby Mountain that is populated with town houses, but surrounded by lush forest. The cache is not exactly touching the tree, but close.

Inside the cache is a logbook and a pencil. It is a small round clear lock&lock container.

The cache is located near a field called Field 2000, when I attended the local Elementry School here, this field was the setting of many P.E and school related sports activities. You will notice two white rectangle wooden goal posts on either side of the field

One time, my class was playing soccer, I was playing defence on the cache side of the field. The ball was on the other end. One of my team mates attempted to make a goal, the ball hit the post.

After that happened, to my utter amazment, I saw the white goal post warp and come collapsing to the ground. I ran to make sure everyone was okay, everyone was. We soon found out the the post was rotted to the core.

The goalie was so confused, it just took one collision with the ball and the entire post came crashing to the ground.

Good luck with this cache, it should be easy to find.
