Easy challenge in Monkey Hill Reserve
Monkey Hill Reserve is a little known park in Kingsland, Auckland.
Upgraded around 2009 by the Auckland Council, the reserve has two paths running through it from Onslow Road upto George Street. The new straight path is concrete with new marble handrail [Be cautious going down this in wet weather]
The park is named for a Captain James Henry Bradney who was a steamship tycoon and a member of parliament. Bradney kept 2 monkeys at the top of the hill – hence the name.
A small playground is at the Onslow Rd end and over the road is Kowhai Intermediate School.
The reserve also has name sake – there is a Monkey Hill Reserve animal sanctuary in Takoradi, Ghana, West Africa.
Cache is a black film container containing log sheet only. BYOP
