Leap Frog 29 Traditional Cache

Decided to take the Bend trailhead route with my mountain bike
today. I thought I would be able to finish the frog face up but
ended up having a flat tire and got a late start. Didn’t even
leave the house till after 1:00. Long story short, I got the frog
smile complete, still have four waypoints to go.

At first I thought this way may not have been the best choice,
seemed much further than taking the Hwy-36 short cut. Park the bike
and looked at my GPSr, yikes, still a long ways to go to the frog.
I had been on this trail before but it was in thick fog. MAN, what
a SWEET trail! I absolutely loved it!! Following the babbling creek
below with some great scenery and a fairly level trail. Followed
the trail until the power lines and before I knew it I was up top.
The way it opened up to a wide view was just too COOL!
Completed the smile and thought I would try to finish up the west
side. Made it to Leap Frog 09 and pondered for a bit, pretty good
drop then back up, hmmmm. Looked at the time and it was 3:45 and
the fog was trying to move in, yikes! Decided to turn back and save
them for another day. Get back to the creek trail fairly quick,
made a few hides and was back to my bike in no time. Man, what a
blast from there! Must have only taken 5 min. to make it back to
the truck, or at least that’s what it felt like.
What a great day! So in summary, it may be a wash, taking the short
cut or today’s route. Personally, I still got the
heebie-jeebies taking the short cut. I also know that I REALLY
enjoyed getting back to the bike only to have a fast ride pretty
much all downhill. My feet, sore feet, is really what holds me back
and breaking up the trek with a bike just works well for me! Ended
up with a 7.8 mile trek and was ready for more when I came flying
up to the truck!
The frog still is not quite complete. I would like to ask that this
area be reserved until I can get them place. Here are the coords
where I need to place any and if you would like to place them there
that would be great.
